Primus (PREE-moos, Latin for 'The First')- A magus who is the head of a House of Hermes. Each House has its own method for choosing its Primus, though technically the acting Primus has the full right to designate any member of the house as their successor. The feminine form of the word is Prima [PREE-mah]; the plural, regardless of gender, is Primi [PREE-mee].
